Symptoms - When running at normal operating temperature, blade cylinder extension has no 'power' and will not anchor / pick up the front of the excavator. When running 'cold' at start up - no problems at all with this function.

The blade cylinder is a new part, but I seem to remember having issues with the old cylinder.

Am I looking at replacing the the hydraulic control valve ? With the theory that the valve is not closing all the way and allowing hydraulic fluid to bypass the cylinder ?

Either the cyl or the valve spool is bypassing.

Yo might also look at the cap on the bottom of the valve and see if the spring centering springs are good and the nut is tight.

Do you have PB? Power Beyond circuit.

If so, remove the return hose and with the lever at neutral and engine running, is there any fluid flowing from the out port.

Logically, in neutral, and all things good, all the pump flow should be flowing trough the valve and to the tank with little or no pressure.
