I was using my loader some this morning. When I got back to the barn I noticed one of the quick attach (pads) was not correctly attached to the bucket ( it had slipped out). I disconnected the bucket to re-attach it correctly but now it wont line up. The (pad) on one side is higher than the other side. When I just try to curl the quick attach pads all the way up, one side bottoms out but the other side still has a half inch or so to go before it bottoms out.

Has anyone had this issue before and can recommend how to fix it? The way it is, I cant get the bucket on.

Thanks!

Unless that loader has a really heavy cross bar, you may be able to just hold the lever til the other side bottoms out - the original mishap may have slightly tweaked things, but since both curl cylinders are paralleled when one stops the pressure will build and move the other side.

Once BOTH sides cylinders are bottomed, it should work OK... Steve

(unless you REALLY tweaked it, in which case it might need MORE help)

adding to....
one of the hydrualic cylinders on the FEL arms (for bucket curl) when not hooked up to anything can move at different lengths / speeds. until they are hooked up to something.

bukitcase. is stating to get one side hooked up first. and then curl / uncurl the bucket. this should cause one side (that is hooked up) to more or less stay still (within reason) and the other hyd cylinder side (not hooked up) to contract / extend. so things line up.

=======
buckitcase word of "tweak" = more along the lines of bending the FEL (front end loader) arms. and twisting them. which may cause issues of what you are speaking of. this can happen when you put one corner of the bucket up against a stump of a tree. and try to pry it out. the prying action and uneven forces on bucket and FEL arms can cause the FEL arms to twist / tweak.

Most loaders have a shaft on the bottom that keep the attaching arms in line when unhooked. The shaft got twisted when one side came unhooked. Put the one that sticks out against a tree and use hydraulics, like tipping the bucket, a little at at time. And check if they line up. Keep doing it until the shaft is twisted back in place.

Just did this yesterday, in the woods my QA locking arms get pushed open often it seems and if it goes unnoticed you will twist the bar easily. I use the back of my Cat loader but a big tree will work. After this last time, I have bungeed the locking arms in the down position.

Many have had this issue, here is one thread with a successful resolution: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/mahindra-owning-operating/321315-quick-attach-bent.html
