i am new to this site and i need some help with my NH TC29DA, my cruse control will not engage , the green light come on when depressed then goes out, does the parking brake switch have any effect on the operation, it appears the tab that contacts the switch is not lining up to depress the switch. also i need a source for u-joint yokes for the front drive shaft , NH wants a fortune for a new shaft.

The cruise control has been discussed in numerours threads and you are correct about the brake switch. Make sure it is depressed when the brakes are not engaged and that may solve your problem. If it doesn't, do a search in this New Holland forum for discussions about the cruise circuit and you'll find a lot of information on trouble shooting the "no cruise" cruise circuit. You are not the first by far.
As for expensive parts replacement, welcome to tractor ownership. I asked my local dealership about replacing the nut with a bar welded to it that locks the top link in place and they wanted $30 for it. I decided to have my friend weld another rod to the nut for free. You could take a look at Messicks.com for a price quote. I've used them amd have been very pleased with the service. Partsspring.com is another avertiser on this site.
