Kubota B7510
Hi folks,

After starting with Kubota and veering off towards Kioti, I'm now spinning out towards Mahindra. I like the price and I like my local dealer so far. He actually seems interested in selling me a tractor.

Knowing as little as I do, I have to consider these tractors "unproven." Any tractor can have problems--just like any car--but some are more reliable than others. From what I've been able to tell, Mahindras have a good reputation, but I don't know much. Best way to learn is from the people who own them. So: Are you satisfied? Have you had any problems? If so, what kind? How was the warranty service? Anyone out there who's had one for a long time?

Thanks,
Jim

What series are you looking at?

Wallace,

15 series. 2015 if I can get away that cheap; 2615 if I end up needing more HP. Not sure yet. I know these are new models, but I'm hoping that there's some consistency of quality from one generation to the next. How likely is that, do you think?

Thanks,
Jim

The Mahindra 15 series is actually a badge-engineered Mitsubishi tractor. A very well proven line of tractors.

I've had a 3015 for a couple of months now, and I think its great. I have the 6' loader for it and a 5' bushhog and a 6' box blade. It works perfectly and smoothly, is easy to handle and has plenty of power. I only have about 15 hours so far on it, so this isnt a long term review, but I love it so far.

If you have any specific questions about it, id be glad to try to answer them.

JCA, welcome aboard. I bought a 2615, FEL & 72 MMM a month or so ago and have not put many hours on it yet. My initial impression is this is an oustanding tractor.

A little history incase you didn't know. As has already been mentioned these are 'badge engineered'. They are built by Mitsubishi for Mahindra. The fact that this is the first year of the 15 series would lead you to believe it is a new, unproven unit. You would be wrong. These units were previously built for Cub Cadet. The 2015 was a 7205. The 2615 was a 7265. The 3015 was a 7305. If you would like you can go to the Cub forum and search for the Cub equivelent to get hystorical info.

I have a Cub Cadet 7260, which is the same thing as a 2615 save for the paint and hydro. It's a GREAT tractor. The 2015 is the same as the old Cub 7205. I posted reviews on both the 7200 (gear version of 2015) and 7260 (gear)if you are interested. The Cub versions ran for 7-8 years and are very reliable. Good luck.

IHC: I couldn't find your review of the 7200; Can you direct me towards it? I read the other one, thanks.

BTW: I'm in Cumberland County, too, but I bet it's a different one. Which Cumberland County are you in?
