I hired a Professional Arborists who climbs the trees with ropes & harnesses to top off my tree, which will become a 'crows nest' latter this year.

This old Boxelder tree was rotted and at it's end. I had one just like it go down in a strong wind storm last June. This one hangs over my garage and was very hollow. I did not want to take any chances with it in another storm. It will become a crow's nest/ tree house on top and yet still be home to raccoon squirrel and birds.

That brings back memories. Back in college, I was a certified arborist and certified nurseryman and used to climb trees to help pay the college bills. Definitely physical work.

I still have my climbing gear and a few months ago, a buddy of mine asked if I could help him drop some 125' dead pines out in east Texas. Some of the trees were leaning the wrong way, so I had to put a bull rope in them to pull them in the direction they needed to go. So I threw on my spikes and started climbing the first one. That's when I learned that in the 25+ years since my college days, gravity must have quadrupled

Well said, I'm still trying to figure out how I went from 145 to 220 pounds in 30 years....if not gravity quadrupling.....Then I'm blaming the GMO food supply.
