proof-meter cable

does anyone know how long the cable for the proof-meter is on a 1715 ford.
bought a new one and its about 57" lg. the old one is about 39", don't know if its the original. thank you and god bless

for the record just received the new cable, this one is 36" long and it fits perfect. just wanted to let others know.
