First let me say I am a complete novice when it comes to Tractors and attachments. I just got an 86 ford 1910 and was wondering what size of mower should she have, for brush & heavy weeds/grass? I am asking because the mower that came with it is a "Big Bee" 72" beast. The tractor has a pretty hard time turning and I am thinking this mower is way to heavy for the tractor. Thanks for any advice y'all can offer, and I would love to hear from anyone with an opinion on these tractors since I know very little about it.

The specs on your tractor indicate about 28 hp at the PTO. A 6 ft mower is really a lot for your tractor to handle. You can use it, I would weigh down the front and adjust your cutting width. Be careful on hills. IMO, a 4 or 5 foot mower would be better.

Yes definitely sell it as it is too big and buy
a 4 foot Sicma flail mower from ken sweet
or a Caroni flail mower you will be better off.

A 5' cutter would be the best fit for your tractor.
Thanks for the advice. I now have another question, what the heck is a "Flail" mower? I looked them up but I can't figure out if it's for grass, brush, weeds or all three. Anyone with an opinion please jump in.

CSK welcome to the forum. With rotary mowers (Bush Hogs) the rule of thumb is 5 PTO hp per foot of mower. You have 28 PTO hp so either a 5 or 6' mower depending on what you are mowing. Naturally for clearing sapling or very heavy grass more HP is better than less.
A flail mower is one that has a drum that varies types of blades or hammers hang from to cut different materials. So a flail mower can cut finish lawn areas like public parks or trim roadside trees like the mowers on booms that do road trimming. All depends on what type of drum and blades it is designed for. The advantages of a flail mower are a better cut, it does not stick out behind the tractor as much and it is less likely to throw debris. The disadvantage, IMO, are a large number of blades, belts and bearings to maintain.
