Proper use of landscape rake for \"grubbing\"&debris

Hi guys. I live on acreage which was logged a few years ago. The ground in some key spots is littered with debris arm and leg sized and it has really kept me from getting any significant improvement done, as i can't afford a root rake or to have it all raked.

My landscape rake is a 6 foot frontier and it was utterly useless as it gathered a ton of dirt witht the debris and sticks.

My solution was for every rake tine, to remove two rake tines. This results in a 5.5 inch space between the remaining tines.

This works like a charm! I can't wait to start cleaning up around here.

just thought I wold post just in case someone else has a similar problem.
