The fun never ends... The property line dispute must take a backseat for a few days. I took the wifes car to work today so that I could clean it up for her on my lunch break. Well no need for that now. I was hit by a large delivery truck during my lunch break. The car is toast and I'm a little sore. The silver lining is that the car can be replaced and I am well. Will someone please remove the cloud from over my head!!! I will eep you guys updated on the property stuff. But, for know I need to take care of "TEASER" (my yellow lab) and myself.

Yes, I'd say you deserve a break!

Glad you are alright. Had a simular thing occur to me once. My wife needed to haul some big stuff home from work, so she took my truck, and I drived her car. I got hit from the side pulling out from a blind intersection, totaled out both cars. Luckily the only injury was airbag brush burns on the other drivers arms. The bad part about the whole deal is I was trying to get my wife to get rid of the car, for something more practical and less maintainence, but she refused to get rid of it, "I love this car" she said. I jokingly said "Well I guess I just have to total it to get rid of it." The accident occured about 2 weeks later and I still think my wife secretly believes I did it on purpose.

Ed,

Confession is good for the soul. You can tell us, we won't tell anyone else.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

No, no, really, it was an accident, I didn't pull out in front of that car on purpose, I really didn't see it coming. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Bill,
When it rains it pours for you lately./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif Glad you are OK although I know I would still be shook up. I think if I were you, I would fill a cooler with my favorite beverage, find a nice tree on the property that does not face the neighbors, sit under it with my dog, and take some time off. Oh, make sure it is a healthy tree.

Hope all is OK on your home front, meaning with your hunting buddy.
Every time I read this it reminds me just how much I love my dog. My prayers are with your and furry friend.

A Dog's Prayer

Treat me kindly, my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more
grateful for kindness than the loving heart of mine.

Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your hand
between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.

Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must
know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my
waiting ear.

When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated
animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory then
the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though had you no
home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the
softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god and I
am your devoted worshiper.

Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you
were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.

Feed me clean food, so that I may stay well, to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready and able to protect your with my life should your life be in danger.

And, beloved master should the great Master see fit to deprive me of my
health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest-- and I will leave you, knowing, with the last breath I drew, my fate was ever safest in your hands.

As per your Plat of Survey, the driveway is on your property. There is a 30' Right of Way from North Gorsuch Road. Your Easterly property line from North Gorsuch Road is the centerline of said 30' Right of Way. That leaves a 15' strip of land between the West line of the Right of Way and your neighbor that belongs to you and is not part of the 30' Right of Way. The centerline of said 30' Right of Way runs Northwesterly a distance of 401.09' to a point and then runs along your Southerly property line, Northeasterly a distance of 475.49'. The 30' Right of Way does not appear to have been intended for said neighbor, but for instead for the property owners East and South of you. You own a 30' strip of land from North Gorsuch Road. The Easterly 15' of said strip being part of the before mentioned 30' Right of Way. The rebars that you found are probally on the East line of the 30' strip and it should measure 401.09' between them. Line up with the rebars and the centerline of North Gorsuch Road. There should be something set in the centerline of the road. Then measure Westerly along said centerline 30.94'. Hopefully you will find your Southwesterly property corner. This point is 1041.09' from your Northwesterly property corner.

Good advice, but around 11 years late. I wonder how this dispute was resolved.

Thanks, I didn't read the date. I usually don't respond to anything, but couldn't hold back on this one. It was weird how they did the 30' Right of Way and the 30' strip. I can see how the property owners were confused.
