Proposing a new acronym....

We've all witnessed the following: <ul type="square"> [*]Numerous debates over what is a CUT, SCUT or utility tractor [*]Which acronym best describes a particular tractor [*]General disregard of anything that doesn't have the 50 year old technology of a 3 point hitch[*]Consistently ignoring alternative machines such as the Power Trac, Toolcat, etc. because they don't look like farm tractors... [/list] So, considering how the Power Tracs are a bit homely to look at, compared to the shiny polished tin with plastic trim on so many other machines that derive from farm tractors instead of mining equipment... and acknowledging their overall usefulness that only the "converts" seem to understand, I propose we use this acronym to describe them...

I don't know about that, MUT conjures up something small and insignificant. Wouldn't you want something that stands for tough, rough and useful. [ TRU ]

They took my word out, but you know what I mean.

I think of MUTs as very tough. They don't have the over bread characteristics that cause defects (plastic, electronics). Many machines today have been optimized for manufacturing cost and short term appeal. The MUT was bread by nature and years of tough work.
