Oil & Fuel Proprietary Fuel Filter

I have a 1999 New Holland/Ford 3930 which uses that new-type New Holland proprietary fuel filter, part #87801434,with the plastic retaining ring, which I think New Holland started using in the late 90's. Is there some kind of after market replacement filter or some kind of after market filter set up which uses an *inexpensive* spin on type fuel filter?
These NH proprietary jobs are a big rip off and they are really small so they probably need changing more often than a full sized fuel filter.

Go to www.fleetguard.com and look under catalog. I found it there, their part # for that filter is FF167. You can order by calling them. You could at least check the price.
