Just picked up my "new" MF 135, 3cyl. Perkins diesel today. Overall and for the age, she is in good shape. Engine runs great and lift works well. For the more experienced here, what do your prefer, the original exhaust or vertical? I was told that the horizontal exhaust gets knocked off alot. Also, there is no wiring to the headlights, does anyone have a schematic on how these are to be wired and what type of switch is to be used? I am trying to restore this to original.

It will be used daily on my farm, but this is also a project for me to tinker with on my down time. Also, can anyone provide me with a good provider of front end loaders for this model?

Get to take her out for a spin to dome some work around the farm tomorrow and cannot wait. Thanks in advance!

Congrats on the new purchase Joel, they are an excellent tractor especially with Pekins diesel, i prefer the clean lines of the horizontal exhaust on the diesels but i dont trust the gassers in the hayfield !!. I may be able to come up with a lights schematic i will check my files, the original switch is available through your dealer:)

I rotated the exhaust on my 1964 MF135 diesel Deluxe vertical so I wouldn't cause a fire in my hayfield when mowing/raking. The guy I bought it from used it to mow and disc his olive orchard so he needed the horizontal arrangement.

When I get some time I'll find a shorter muffler and finish reinstalling the sheet metal. Not enough hours in the day.

Congradulations! A good tractor to have. Mine has the horizontal exaust also. After reading some of these posts about fires, I may opt to go vertical. As posted above, how bout a few good quality pictures? Good luck, TB
