Howdy!

I've been lurking for quite a while. Finally bought a used BX 1500 with FEL and MMM and bought a 5ft scraper separately. I've used it about 10 hrs and have had a ball! Hogged out about 1/4 acre of staghorn sumac and blackberry briars. Filled in a bunch of potholes and mowed quite a bit of lawn, hauled a chimney's worth of rubble and moved quite a bit of rather large stones.

I want to thank all you guys for the great advice. It's amazing what such a little tractor will do!

I'm thinking of building an electric grapple for it and adding a chain hook to the bucket.

Sorry I'm so late posting. I've been out of town and just got back in.

I'm skeered of heights , so I've been trying to stay away from too much slope mowing, but I have mowed some pretty severe slopes going straight down the slope and have not had any problems. I keep it in 4wd and in "turtle" gear and have never had to use the breaks. Just easing off the throttle keeps me at a reasonable speed.

You'll love your new machines. I've had more fun than my wife can stand!!

I have a couple of slopes that i mow crossways with a Cub Cadet GT 2554 garden tractor.
The CC is quite stable doing that, isn't tippy and there is no pucker factor using it like that on the 2 slopes.
Since the BX1500 was for the purpose of replacing the Cub Cadet
My main concern with buying a BX1500 was it's stability on those slopes compared to the CC.
