While I was taking a picture of the new hydraulic filter housing, I also took a couple of the tray of tools for the 1430. Everyone probably knows what the big wrench is for ( center pivot nut.) I bought it on Ebay and it supposedly came off of navy ship. It was cut down short for some special use, so the guy sold it for a cheap price. The two old wrenches are for "the cap" on the Variable Displacement Pump, and the fitting that the cap is attached to. The little funnel works really well underneath the Deutz, but you need to make sure it is in the right way; this saves allot of mess! For people that have the Deutz engines I would recommend that air nozzle. It empties your air tank in a hurry, but it blows out high air pressure and it fits back into the compartment at the top part of the radiator nicely for blowing the debris out of it. The No.9 Wire is something I rigged up for holding back the kill switch while changing the hydraulic filter. That piece of round stock is for hitting the plunger in the hydraulic coupler for releasing the pressure in the hydraulic lines for attachments. On the one end I rounded the edge and polished it a little bit, because I wanted something that wasn't going to cut the little O-ring in there by the plunger. I used to use my one punch and decided I was going to mess things up eventually if I kept using that.

Cool. What do you do with the "The two old wrenches are for "the cap" on the Variable Displacement Pump,"? I have never had to mess with any of that...yet.

Then again, maybe you already have....

Every time I do an oil change, I mess with the cap on the "Variable Displacement Pump", aka charge pump. It is where you attach a bleeder hose to get the air out of the oil filter / intake lines.

I spray painted my cap yellow just to remind me which one it is. I am a little slow sometimes.

All the best,

Peter

I painted my tow valve, so when the day comes I won't have to scramble to look for it on top of the reason it doesn't move on its own.

Painting that cap is a good idea! Like I said before, I accidentally loosened up the JIC fitting right above the cap one time.

My 425 has two ports that have to be connected together with a hose to tow it. I put some nice shined 90 degree fittings with caps on them for easy access and identification. I've used it once. As compared to my bleed port that I've used every 50 hours and have yet to mark it for easier identification.
