PT-418 “Power Trac”
Cleaning up my Dad’s estate and ran across this.
We were aware of its existence but not aware multiple people would want it!
Probably hasn’t run in 2-3 years.

What’s the value on this thing? Running condition vs it with a dead battery and busted tires and such.
Not sure the age
I’ve looked it over but not sure where to find an info plate on it.

I’ve googled with very little info found.

Welcome to TBN!

You might want to let folks know where this tractor is. If there are attachments, (bucket, plus?) that would affect the value as well. There is a subtlety on the attachment hookup. Early models used 3-point hitches on the front, and current models use a quick attach plate. From the photos, the tires don't look horrible, and batteries are cheap.

The data plate might be on the crossmember holding the steering wheel up. If you get it, or even if you don't, it might be worth a call to Power-Trac, 1 (800) THE-YARD, as they can probably give you background on the unit. They also have a classified section on the website.

I find pricing tractors to be pretty local.

All the best,

Peter

When I say multiple people want it I mean family members.

What you see is what I’ve got at this point.

There’s at least one rotted tire

Well, a new PT-180 with a bucket is roughly $10k, plus taxes and shipping. http://power-trac.com/index_htm_files/tractorgasH6price110123.pdf
A newer used PT-180 was listed for $6k two years ago at Power-Trac, and one with several attachments seems to have sold in that range elsewhere.

Since it is family, I don't know what to say. Sealed bids? You might call the factory and see if they have a magic number.

All the best,

Peter

Thanks for the reply.

I’m at a lose honestly but won’t post publicly. Feel free to pM to get the scoop

Hard to say what the value might be without knowing if it runs, what condition it is in, which attachments and their condition. It's not like many of these are up for sale used, either, to base a price on.

Just my opinion, I would guess $1000, tops $2000 if someone really wanted it, . The PT418 is not made anymore (the PT180 is different). It looks to have "T" handles on the loader pins which to me indicate it has pin-on attachments (currently they have quick attach for an attachment change that takes seconds without getting your hands dirty.) The choke cable and most likely the throttle look to be in front of the seat (now up by steering wheel so you don't break them when you mount/dismount and your shoe slides over that area, which might be why it has a control cable knob on the right front of the engine cover)(although the hood appears to open from the rear, opposite from current models) and the gas tank looks to be made into the hood. It is a really early model and there has been a lot of improvements over the years. Good luck with it and sorry for your loss.
