We already had about 7" of snow on the ground when Mother Nature felt the need to dump us with another 9" or so last night...not normally a problem for me since I have a 4X4 F250 with a 7.5' power angle plow to get us down to the main road(apprx. 1/4 mile)...but, my half brained neighbor got his truck stuck in an area he had no business going to before I got home from work yesterday...and my kind hearted wife allowed him to borrow our truck to try and pull himself out...well......he got my truck stuck too and since we could not get it out it will be there until the spring thaw! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif...so, I had to have somebody else plow our lane, and of course if you want a job done right you do it yourself...this meant I had to clean up after him with the 422 and the rock bucket. I'm amazed at the traction I got with just turf tires in some fairly deep snow and even on some ice....only got stuck once(operator error or over confidence, I'm not sure which)...but got it out fairly easily. Wish I had some pics to post because a picture is worth a 1000 words...but when I was done I once again proclaimed to my wife "This has to be the best $$ we ever spent! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif". Now I wait for the spring thaw to get my truck back!

Just pull 'em out with the PT. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Some time back MY neighbor stuck HIS truck into MY swamp and there it sat, up to the axles, for two months 'til we both got round to it. During which time he'd left the dome light on so the project grew as bit. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I hooked a chain on, had him stand back and watch, and pulled it right out and across the boggy field without spinning a wheel. Of course my PT is a little bigger than yours, but I was still amazed, as was my chastened neighbor.

Wish the little ole 422 was big enough for the job...but that's more than it can handle....local came by with his Ford 4x4 farm tractor(don;t recall the model) and he couldn't pull them up either....now I'm just wishing for a fast thaw!

Well, we got the trucks out....he came by with a Case IH MX 170(nice tractor!! heat/AC, stereo and power to spare!)....pulled the trucks out of the woods buried in 17+" of snow...I lost a mirror and added a few more scratches to the "farm truck" but at least it's back and ready to plow again! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And you were probably planning on a drink and a book by the fire.
