Well guys, out Trip to the Power-Trac plant is set for Thursday, June 11th, my very last day of my High School Freshman year :) I can't wait it's going to be great!!
But now on a serious note, I would like to know from you guys what questions we should ask at the PT plant. The machine were most interested in is the 1850. We want to what to ask about it, and everything else important.

Wish us luck guys!

Willie.

You might ask yourself this question. Do I or we want an 1850 for one or two slope mowing jobs, or do we want a more versatile machine like the 1445. All the implements would be about the same.

Then again, if you purchase the 1850, you can seek out more slope mowing jobs. Kind of a gamble, right. Do you have a list of all the equipment that you operate and maintain.

I did landscaping for about 22 years, using mostly Dixie Choppers.

Thats what were doing, JJ, purchasing the 1850 because are now starting to take on slope Mowing jobs. We already have one and I think we actually are starting to get more. But at Tazewell, we want to try the 1445 and the Slope Mowers before we decide for sure.

Our equipment is currently;
1999 John Deere 5310 Cab Tractor w/540 Self Leveling Loader, many attachments.
1998 Case 1845C Skid Steer w/Bucket, HD grapple, Forks, 6ft Sweepster Broom.
2000 Dixie Chopper Xtreme Mowchine 40hp Kohler LC EFI engine 74" Mower
1998 Toro 724Z 24hp Kohler Engine 60" Mower

With a PT 1850 were looking to replace most of this equipment
Probably everything except the Zero Turns.

I would say an 1850 is not a replacement for those pieces of equipment. It might be better or it might be worse depending upon what your needs are.

There are a few times where a skid steer would be nice. But the pt1850 meets my needs better than the equipment you listed for a variety of reasons I have mentioned before.

Today, i was digging a trench crosswise on a 20 degree slope with the minihoe. I would not want to do that with any of the CUTs i have owed or the backhoe I owned.

Ken,
The main machine to replaced by the 1850 is the 5310. Since jobs seem to be going back up we may possibly trade in the ole' Case for a new Caterpillar C series (dem tingz nice!) or one of those new Bobcats coming out, providing we'll need one.

Any more questions we should ask and recommendations and stuff?
