I promised to do a follow-up report (on the above thread) if I ended up buying the mixer which I did yesterday. The owner graciously accepted my offer for $280 for which I am grateful. Got it mounted today and played around a little with the linkage adjustment which is quite interesting. It can be adjusted so the weight of the barrel will go over center in the linkage and lock in a position where the 3PT won't lower without manually pulling the barrel back over center. My first thought was that would be good for carrying a heavy load of cement but the problem is the shock load when it's manually pulled back past center.
The linkage is now adjusted so that the load can't go over center and seems to work fine. (with a barrel full of water anyway) Would sure like to know the manufacturer and see the manual.
