This just started twords the end of cutting my grass,I haven't blown off my deck yet of trimmings [just thought of this. ] but my pto will will shut off with a hesitation or sometimes fast,I thought at 1st it might be my seat , now I'm thinking its the switch, my VERY expensive dealer has a no return on open parts policy,IF he remotely has a part I need:mad:  $$
I guess go the cheapest route first?? any ideas??

That happened to my 2138 also. The PTO wiring had partially burned through and so it would intermittently short on the block. I replaced the harness and then wrapped it with insulation to keep it from happening again.

 I'm almost sure you can't replace the wires going into the clutch on mine.
I wish I could...because thats all thats broken is one of the wires, right at the very base going into the plastic on the clutch.

If you're really determined, sometimes you can salvage a part like that. In the past I've cut open the wrapping on electric coils and fished out the broken wire, soldered a new lead on it and rewrapped the coil with electrical tape. I figure there's nothing to lose if it doesn't work.
