My X340 PTO has stopped working. There is nothing in the manual about this. What could cause the PTO to just stop working. I have changed all the filters and oil. The fuses are all good. I don't know where to look next. Help!

In order to engage the pto the tractor need to know you are on the seat. I would check the seat switch to start with. I believe you could take a jumper wire and connect the two wires from the tractor under the seat. DO NOT use it jumpered, just for testing. make sure your toes are not under the deck or there will be lots of pain.

I talked to one of the mechanics and he said there are three switches that may have problems. 1) The RIO switch located above the decking. 2) The brake switch located near the brake pedal or 3) the PTO switch itself. I ordered the PTO switch which will be here Wednesday. However I really don't feel good about this. When I came home today. I started it and the PTO engaged. As soon as I took it ouside it didn't work anymore. Are there any sensors that could cause this problem?
