PTO Hydraulic pump and tank?

I have a Bobcat CT450 SST and have a Bobcat SGX60 Stump grinder that I use to use on my S650 Skidsteer and want to use it on my tractor if possible. Any ideas of a cost effective, ha, rear PTO Hydraulic setup for my tractor. The stump grinder requires 25-40 GPM to work from what I read, my S650 skidsteer hi flo was 30gpm and it worked fine. I see where Landpride makes a pump and tank setup but was told it was $5000 or more:confused2:

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks

You only have about 9.5 GPM for tractor hyd flow.

It will turn the motor, but you will not get the speed/rpm that the rotor normally operates.

You can get about 21 GPM out of this PTO pump, but it takes about 32 HP. This PTO pump also only has 2000 psi, so you are losing some power there .

If you have 1000 rpm PTO, there is another pump that will get about 30 GPM using all your HP.

This pump will actually put out 4 o GPM's, but at 58 HP which you don't have.

My tractor is a 50hp pto around 42hp i think. Can I get away with just a pto pump? Or do I need a PTO pump tank combo of some sort. When grinding stumps I usually run grinder 30-60mins per stump so it will generate some heat for sure. And I know I need 25-40 GPM and 3000 psi, that is the specs for grinder.

This looks like the type of setup I could use but at over $5000 not cost effective.

Bobcat CT450 Power:
Engine: 49 hp [36.5 kW]

PTO (claimed):
38 hp [28.3 kW] (hydro)
41 hp [30.6 kW] (shuttle)

You can perhaps come close, but will need an additional tank of about 40 gal if you run that pump at max.

In order to get 30 GPM at 3000 psi, will need about 62 HP. Pump displacement about 1.9 cu in turning about 3600 rpm

You could build a system for way less than $5000.

That money would pay for a lot of rental.

That Land Pride hyd power supply is using the PTO of 540 speed and increasing the rpm using a 1 : 3.7 ratio to drive a HYD PUMP of 3.08 CIR. Plus they have a cooler for the hyd fluid.

Minimum tractor HP is 52. You can run it will less, but you can only run your tractor at max hp for about 19 GPM's with out stalling.

You might could if you scrounged up all the parts.

However, you can find a PTO stump cutter for about $2500 or less, or purchase a used one and replace the teeth. Should work like new.

I already have the stump grinder is hooks to the loader and is designed for a high flow skid steer, I am selling my S650 because I just dont need a $50,000 stump grinder so to speak. I paid $8000 for the stump grinder and it works awesome, I do about 300 stumps a year so I would like to keep it and use it on my CT450 but looks like I wont be able to.

So maybe I sell it also and get something that will work with my tractor.
