PTO Model 4035

Neither PTO control switch has any effect on stopping the pto shaft from running.
I even disconnected the 2 pin connector on the PTO control solenoid and the shaft continues to turn.

I sure could use some help figuring this one out.

Is it running with full power or just spinning from oil or clutch drag,
will it run an implement under load when shut off.

Running with full power and it responds to increases and decreases in the hand throttle.
It acts like it is locked to the "on" position and I can't turn it off.

ever find out what it was? must have been a short somewhere. did you try pulling the fuse?

No. The electrical connection at the PTO solenoid is disconnected, pulled off not on the solenoid yet the PTO shaft continues to run at power/RPM levels commensurate with the throttle position.

Have you removed the actual solenoid valve not the coil but the actual valve,
it could be hung open.
