Hi All,

Over the w/e I took the mmm off as I had alot of FEL work to do. Trachtor performed like a dream, need to be carful of sticks getting caught up underneath though.

Anyway I put the mmm back on this afternooon to clean up one section of the lawn and it wont work! I mean that the PTO's mid and / or rear do not seem to want to enguage.

I select the mid PTO then push down the clutch lever through the stops - and nothing, nix, narda - most concerning!!!

It was working just fine before I took it off

I have had a good close look under the tractor with a torch and apart from a few scratches there are no obvious signs of bent rods or linkages. The PTO select levers seem to work perfectly. The linkages for these are fery well protected from damage in any case.

The oil window just nere the rear PTO shows oil about half way up the glass.

The engine fires up perfectly and the FEL hydraulics work just fine.

So I am most perplexed. I will be calling the dealer to morrow as still under warrentee, however - any thoughts???

Im going out to the garage now to have another look /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Well guys as I said I was off to the shed to figure out the problem and - phew its OK it now works but there is possibly a design fault with some of the piping. I have taken a few photos and put comments on to show the problem. Suggest you check it out

Is that the way it came, when you bought it? It doesn't look quite right, as though it was a add-on perhaps by the dealer.

To be honest I didn't look at it that closely when I got it. More checking the "usual" stuff and more obvious things, when it arrived.

But I agree it doesnt look right. I will call the dealer today and keep you posted.

GerryG, and others

I have had the dealer mobile mechanic inspect the problem and you are right - the hosing has not been installed correctly. The hosing actually operates the FEL so most likely the problem is with the company that installed this.
I brought this machine with 18 hrs on it as an ex demonstrator unit. So it was obviously one of the very first models in the country.

Still I'm surprised that the MF dealer and Head office did not pick it up.

Anyway it goes back to the shop tomorrow for a 50hr service and to have the hoses re routed. So I will post a few pictures when I get it back.

Picked up a fertiliser spreader today at a clearing sale for 10bucks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif pretty rusty but it works a treat - promise a picture whn I get the tractor back and get it all hooked up.
