Can a PTO Pump, be reversed (hydraulic under pressure to turn the PTO input coupler on pump) to make a hydraulic motor?

What good would that do to you??
Even if you could, the PTO shaft would rotate the opposite direction...To make PTO shaft rotate the same direction you need to put pressure on the pump suction side, and usually the pump can't be pressurized on the suction side, unless it is bi-directional....

This need to be checked with pump manufacturer for final call!

Thanks, just had some crazy ideas. I have hydraulic remotes on my tractor and I have a PTO hydraulic pump and I was thinking of uses that would be convenient to use PTO on front of tractor.Just thought I might give it a try if it would work. Don't think I am interested enough to buy a hydraulic motor.
