PTO rotation

Simple question from a tractorless city-boy. When looking at the PTO, does it rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise?

REAR PTO rotation is clockwise looking at the end of the PTO shaft from the rear.

MID PTO rotation is counter-clockwise when looking the end of PTO shaft from the front of the tractor.
