I have a 9540 kobuta when clipping and go up a inline a clicking noise come from the pto area. I can shut of pto and restart on level ground and the noise goes a way. This has me puzzled. Any thought?

Could your plastic PTO shield be vibrating?

Could your PTO shaft be a bit too long and as the front of the tractor rises the PTO shaft needs to shorten a bit and can't ,so it puts pressure on the PTO at the tractor ?
I have had the tractor and bushhog for 6 years a never had one minute of trouble. This all start at once. The comes from inside the pto housing. I'm going to check an make sure the pto shaft is not binding and slide free. Something I have not checked. Did you ever find out the problem? I have a Kabota L3400HST and was rototilling the ground. There was clicking noise coming from the back of the tractor and my rototiller was not rotating, the PTO shaft was not spinning from the tractor case either. If I raised the rototiller just a little it would spin. Any load put on the pto shaft and it stopped spinning and the clicking noise would be pretty loud. Any suggestions?
