I bought a new slip clutch for my yanmar. It comes assembled and greased so all I had to do was put it on the PTO and click it in place.
So two days ago I hook up my tiller and run down a 40' row. At the end I pick up the tiller and start to back up - look down to see the pto shaft falling off. It wasn't making any clunking or scraping noises. Had I not looked down I wouldn't have noticed it falling off.
The slip clutch had come straight apart.. it was like it wasn't even held together. Nothing looks broken, though I couldn't find one of the square metal clips.
should I return this, or try and fix?
