Thank you. I traced it down. It is bent over right where it attaches to transmission. I assume if I order cable it will be what I need. As you say, when I straighten it up, my PTO stops. If I engage it again from the lever, I have to wait till I shut down to manually turn it off again. I will not use it till
I get the cable.

What it does not show you is where it attaches to the transmission, which is on the right side of the tranny, in a straight path curving down from the PTO control handle up by the seat, as I recall. It is spring-loaded, and it's a bear to attach. By the way, keeping the cable lubed is also a good idea... if it dries out, it can hang up and not work right... don't ask how I found this out!
Once you find the shaft and lever on the side of the transmission, you can manually push it to disengage the PTO so it's not constantly running. That way you can at least use your tractor for other chores until the cable is replaced.
Don't crawl under the beast until it's shut down and secured, of course! )</font>
