PTO to hydraulic pump connection ?

Farmer Bob, whats the flow and pressure rate of your tractor auxilary hydraulics ?
A chinese Honda clone may be cheap, but a cousin of mine had one, that wore a pushrod through the rocker within 13 operating hours. If they could be as good as an original Honda, Honda would have sold them that cheap (and outcompete Briggs, Robin, Tecumseh, and all the others)

I have no qualms about recommending the HF engines as I have had zero problems with the five that I personally own.

Thanks to all for taking the time to respond. as this is EXACTLY the help I needed. My little Kubota tractor aux hydraulics are 2500 psi but less than 4 gpm, so I don't think it will handle a 20 ton log splitter well. I also did not want to fiddle with yet another gas engine to maintain even if the Harbor Fright engine is $100+ bucks when I have a perfectly good 22HP PTO shaft. The thread was extremely helpful in locating the PTO spline to shaft adapter. And I was unaware that you can find PTO hydraulic pumps on Ebay for $200, as the ones in Northern Supply for $450 are just cost prohibitive. I am now encouraged I can go ahead with my project and it will be very cost effective compared to dropping $1000 + on a store bought log splitter.

Went to the Harbor frieght in Oceanside Cal, saw that they had some of the 6.5hp Honda clones returned for $40 each.
Talked to the manager and told me he had a pallet of 12-14 in the back that I could have for $25 each if I took the whole pallet. They seem to run awfully fast on the wheelbarrow compressor that I put one on. Hopefully it will last a while, but at $25-40 you can't expect too much. Talk to the manager at your local HF, you just might get a deal!
