It did what it was supposed to do and avoided major damage to the drive line and gearbox.
Be careful to replace it with same grade of bolt, i.e. strength. Too hard a bolt will result in damage.
To work properly, bolt needs to be of correct length and tightened snugly.
Most owners carry spare ones.
