On a cold start the Electric PTO works just fine on my Montana T7074. When the tractor warms up it may or may not engage. If it does and you use it for a period of time it won't shut down until you turn the tractor off. Switch and push button have power.

I’m not real knowledgeable on this, but isn’t this an electric actuator to turn the pto off and on. I’d check whatever the electric part on the pto that engages it. Could be the wiring to it or the actual actuator.

Yes Dave that's correct I'm gonna pull the PTO solenoid and see what it looks like.

I wonder if there is something going on with the spool inside the PTO valve block that when heats up, it jams and won't move to engage/disengage the PTO. Or it could also be the coil going bad. When it heats up, it stops working as it should.

I pulled this valve ... appears to be scared and the inside appears "burnt" ... I assume when you energize it with a hot and a neutral it should do something?
