I can't say for sure about this forum, but I follow some construction equipment forums and research documentation I have available to help out customers of the product line for which I was responsible, and got them help for other product lines if I had a contact or if I could get hem the info they needed. If I found a problem on one of my product lines I always let the guy who replaced me when I retired know about it. Sometimes I know the answer but I can't help. I signed paperwork that limits me but I sure pass it along. I assume tractor engineers are interested in what's going on just like me but if the are like I was before retiring, there wasn't much spare time for tracking forums.
One important thing to remember if you are really upset is that president's and CEOs do not getting letters from riled customers. S..t flows downhill and nobody in the trenches looked forward to having their name brought up in front of a VP when a VP or president got a nasty-gram. Sometimes it was stop whatever you are doing and pull together data. Sometimes it was a person to person meeting in the VIP's office. The squeaky wheel does get the synthetic lube.
