I am posting this for my father who is gun shy of singing up for anythging, so I am posting for him.
He has a John Deer L110 automatic riding mower. I think a bearing is gone, the part where the blade bolts to the bearing on the mower deck is loose making the pully at the top where it conects loose. It is making a high squealing noise. Can anyone help me?
if you could email my father that would be great he has a better idea of what the problem is.

sounds like you got a bad spindle. i dont think they(bearings) are replacable. most spindle bearing are sealed because of all the dirt. get the pulley off from the top side of the deck. then just unbolt the blade then the spindle and take it to a JD dealer and get a replacement spindle...

If your dads mower has grease fittings on the mower spindles. He may want to read this tread about filling spindle cavity with grease when new. Click Here
