Tiashan Dragon 270
i just bought a few pieces of equipmment for my tractor.:cool2:included is a disc bog, disc plow, layoff plow, homemmade cultivator and a drag harrow. im wanting to know if my Taishan 270 will pull them. the tractor i think is either 25 or 27hp diesel. the tractor surprises me in what it will do. i have hooked up some of my dads equipment including a 6ft tiller, 7 shank jigger, a heavy disc and its done well. guess only one good way to find out.lol

heres a pic of my $900 chinese tractor.

Thanks for the pic, it helps. It's a good looking tractor, and you got a swinging deal on that for sure. Congrats on the new equipment and I sure hope it works well with the dragon.

You don't say how wide those implements are, and pretty much controls how much tractor to pull them. That tractor should handle 4' wide implements pretty well, but some 5' ones will be too much for it and 6 is pretty much out of the question unless you're just pulling something that has wheels of its own and no ground engagement. Anytime you engage the ground the drag factor goes way up and more power/traction is required to get the job done. Many small tractors fail more from lack of traction due to their light weight, than they do from lack of raw power.

I agree that for $900 you got a dandy deal on that tractor.

If you can keep your front end on the ground, I think you may be able to pull the disc plow. I just don't know how deep? Ken Sweet

I have a Jinma 284 with a FEL. I have the rears filled, 4 front weights, and the rear wheel weights. It has good R1's all the way around. Pulling a 6' disc and a 2 bottom plow have never been a issue. Same with my 6' box blade. My tractor is heavy though. With me on it and all the implement on the 3 point its pushing 5,600#
