Purchased a new LandPride blower. Looking for ideas for electronics.

Purchased a new Land Pride 1064 snowblower today at the Empire Farm Days. They said cost was 500 on an electric chute setup. Not worth that to me. What have you guys used? I have heard rumors of car window motors? I pick it up Thurs. or Friday and will start pondering what I can do with it next week but I figure many of you guys are way ahead of me on this. Thanks.

Mine (Pronovost Puma 64) uses an electric seat motor for rotation and a linear actuator for up/down. There's a wired "fob" with two rocker switches dangling in the cab that connects to one of the relay boxes on the outside rear cab wall. The control motors plug into tails hanging out of the relay box. The relays are straight forward 12V SPST 30A automotive relays mounted in a PVC junction box.

The rotation mechanism was a slight mod to the existing cable crank. It involved some rebending of the flatbar, cutting the shaft and adding a coupling for the motor to hook up to it. The up/down was a simple matter of replacing the manually adjustable shaft with a linear actuator. Here's a short video of the motors at work:

It was fun last winter and it was nice to be able to stay in the warmth of the cab and direct the snow wherever desired by rocking a couple switches.
