LS R4047
I bought an LS R4047 with FEL today for $18043.00 at Hayes Equipment in Stillwater, OK. I won't be able to pick it up until next week due to my work schedule. I hope I made the right decision on purchasing the LS over several other brands.

Most of us think you did ----

If it is brand new, and the price you posted is correct, your dealer must have been in a real bind, that is below current dealer cost, and LS has announced an avg of about 3% increase next month, so those of you who don't have one yet, now is the time! But sorry, I don't have any 4047s at this kind of pricing....

Which transmission did you get with that price?

The dealer is dropping the LS line of tractors, so they're selling them cheap. I got manual tranny, that's all they had in the 47hp. I checked out the Case Farmall B series and it's identical to the LS, except for the FEL. The only thing I don't like about the LS is the legroom. I'm about 6'1" and it seemed a little cramped. I did notice another set of bolt holes on the seat mount, I might be able to get another inch by moving the seat to them.

That's an excellent price and a great tractor.

The only potential drawback I see, is will the dealer be available for warranty work... some still do it, even though they drop the brand. Some on this forum wouldn't care about that anyway, so it may not matter at all to you.

As far as the brand, even though I went mahindra, I was real close to buying an LS. I think you bought a great tractor, at an amazing price.

I live 200 miles from the dealer where I purchased the tractor. There's one closer in Eufaula and another in Greenville, TX. Do you think I'll have any trouble getting warranty work from another dealer?

I'm brand new to tractoring... So I do not have any experience with that situation. That is a subject that comes up from time to time on the forum. Since u r not the only one in that situation, maybe u could start a thread with that question. Hopefully the others in that situation could advise u. There r dealers on the forum too, who may offer some suggestions. Either way, your tractor deal is a good one. I don't think u will regret it.
