Getting a new subcompact with a backhoe and mechanical thumb with 3 pt hitch. The machine at the dealership has the quick connect at the front bucket and I can just about bet I will never take that bucket off. They will have to go get a machine at a sister store that doesn't have the quick connect. For 350.00 would you purchase the quick connect even though I doubt I will ever use it. Sorry but don't have a lot of time to research and looking for some quick response. Thanks Rick

Having the ability to do something in the future has got to be worth $350... if you never use it, no problem. But it is very likely someone will find it handy.

In my mind the most likely attachement would be pallet forks. Is that something you would ever use?

What, you can't wait a few days to save some $$ ? It would be worth the extra cost for most folks, but if you're convinced it's not needed, try being patient.

Even if you don't use it, it will fetch some extra dollars at trade in time, so long term cost would be less than the full $350.

You know your needs better then I do but I would get it. $350 is a small price to have the ability to switch implements easily. Do you think you'd ever have a need for a grapple? I was suprised at how often I switch between grapple/forks/bucket and I only have a pin style QA.
If you see yourself switching between loader attachments at all in the future it's definitely worth it, plus it's usually cheaper to get at time of purchase.

If you don't like it I'm sure you could find someone else with a BX that would be willing to buy it off you and switch buckets.

For $350 it is Kubota's proprietary pin on bucket, not SSQA.

Give it a pass. Operating in brush I had one Quick Link pin pull out resulting in a $1,200 FEL repair, fortunately all but $250 covered by KTAC insurance. This was on my last Kubota, a B3300SU.

Rushing a tractor experience is not a good idea. Most buy too light and regret it.

The Kubota site only list only the pin on bucket or the ssqa so I was assuming it was the ssqa since it wasn't specified.
I wouldn't be afraid of the pin style QA, not sure what happened with yours but the BX one seems to be pretty reliable.
Hopefully the OP can clarify.

The Quick Link buckets pin on with pins similar to Lynch Pins. In woods work it is easy for brush to pull a pin loose, then one end of your bucket sags and the FEL arms bend.

OP will be better off without Quick Link bucket and $350 ahead.

SSQA is considerable weight subtracted from bucket capacity on a BX.

Well I've been using a pin on heavily for the past 6+years and I've even made a few for other kubota models where they weren't offered.

Sorry you had a bad experience with yours.

I gave my opionion, I'll let the OP decide what's best for his use.
