Push away grapple.

Has anyone seen this grapple, and would it be useful?

I am having trouble finding a significant benefit of that kind of grapple. It seems like more of a gimmick rather than of real benefit. Usually, my grapple on hay, silage ect won't even close enough to activate the "push away" feature. Why would I want my grapple to push my tractor back? Seems like a good way to bend/break my grapple. I could see the push back tines just pushing into the material being moved rather than pushing back the tractor.

In theory, a lot of things make sense and work.......as per their animated cartoon. But when it comes down to actual workability, things aren't as they seem. Like global warming..........looks good on paper, but in the real world..........things aren't as the 'cartoon' seems.

We can apply this same principle to a lot of things in life.

Doesn't look like it opens, just clamps? I don't get it..
Well after watching the video I see it opens, but the 'push away feature' seems unneeded.

Looking at their other products this company provides solutions for livestock growers. I can see where a customer wants a simple bolt-on solution to their existing bucket to hold hay/feed/mulch would purchase this. I can see where the "squareness" of the design might allow for more volume per grab. However, I don't get the expanding part of this grappler.

I agree with JFS........Looks like a specialty tool for specfic 'AgBag' applications'. Might have some use with large round, or square bales, perhaps separating them........~S

Looks like it is designed to solve a specific problem arizing from grappling densly compacted material with smaller machines that don't have the traction to pull away from the pile. The Pushers break the bond enough for the machine to pull away easily.

It's just a very specialized application.
