The tractor w/o loader on

Look what followed me home! I was brush cutting my back field and found this in my path. I would not have killed the poor thing but since it got under my brush cutter I could not help it. It was a big-un. Not sure if it is a rat snake or what?

nice pictures, what size brush hog is that? i am still waiting to take delivery of my ct230, i had a 5ft brush hog on my old international 300 utility but to seal the deal of selling the tractor, i had to let the brush hog go with it. so i guess i am in the market for a brush hog. your ct225 doesnt have any problem clearing high grass does it? some of my fields are getting high do to all the rain we have been having in north east pa. cant wait to get my ct230!!

I have the same problem. I am not having too much trouble in my flat areas but on the steep hills I am having to cut in low range. It is a 5ft KK BTW and my hills are very steep. I am hoping that as my hours increase and the engine breaks in I will get even more power. It is sufficient now but I do have to back off the pedal at the very top of some of those hills. Most new or rebuilt engines I have had gain power as they break in so I am expecting it to get better and better. It sure is a lot of fun now compared to the gear jamming I have had to do over the years. The loader work is just AWESOME with a hydro. I plan to do a full review and comparison to the other tractors I have owned and operated once I get about 50 hours on it and learned all it's traits.

i too have had rebuilt and new engines, and yes they do have a break in period and gain more power after some time on them. i have a few real steep areas, and some fields that are just gradual inclines. im just hoping the smaller tractor will do the job of that my international has done for me the past 10 years i have owned it. power steering fel and 4wd is what im excited for!

nice looking property, I have the same issue with my 225 and 5ft bh. but my saving grace is I have so many trees to go around I cant go that fast anyway but the power stearing sure does help

I have a KK 5 foot cutter on a CT225 and it will handle it. It will go anywhere a lawn mower will go in midrange. I mowed some 7 foot high thick brush on a steep hill and had to use low range. It was about the limit I am comfortable with and it went right on. I did have the loader on.

Around 20 hours or so. I am still on my second tank of fuel.

Only have about 15 hours so far. Power is picking up from where I started at 2 hours. Had about 400 hours on my Kubota L3010 before I sold it and I have put 300 hours on my Kioti LK3054 since i rebuilt it. This one will get used in the next year.

Nice place, bet your glad you got MFWD.

You better believe it. Everything I have had has been FWD. What's interesting is how shallow those slopes look in the picks. They are STEEP. So far I am most impressed with the hydro tranny doing the loader work. I have stripped my old drive and put down 50 tons of crusher run. I moved that big pile of old mud and gravel behind the barn in about a hour and a half. Where I have been disappointed the most so far is pulling that 5ft brush cutter up those steep hills, especially the thick stuff. I have had to go light on the pedal in low range. It has gotten stronger in the last ten hours so I hope in will pick up a few more ponies as it breaks in. Still, the control is amazing, start, stop, direction changes. I am not disappointed in the tractor at all, just learning to adjust is all.
