Hi,
I'm new to the forum and just purchased a brand new Branson 3820. We recently suffered a wildland fire in January and lost 40 acres of ponderosa pine, pinion and juniper here in Southern Colorado. My Dad lost 200 acres and his house in the fire. Our property connects to each other. I was able to save our house with a bit of dozer work. I'm also a firefighter with the local dept. so I was able to be here when the fire about took my house, but I got lucky. I'm in the process of cutting and clearing all the trees now and had to buy the bigger tractor and loader with a pallet fork for brush and trees. I only have 14 hrs. on it, but I LOVE THIS TRACTOR! It has a large job ahead of it as well. I figure it will take every weekend for the next 3 years to cut and clear all the trees. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Also have it to disc and plant wheat and grass in some areas to help with erosion.
I sure like the way the bucket comes right off to attach the pallet fork.
I also had the backhoe off for the blade for a couple days, but put the backhoe right back on. It makes a better counter weight for lifting trees and works more stable that way. I was having to use 4x4 more often with the hoe off too lifting logs with less weight on the rear tires.
I'll attempt to attach a couple pictures. One you can see my house roof and how the head of the fire ran by my house in the front.
I'll have to admit, I am having fun cleaning up the aftermath with this machine!
