Loader Putting A Loader On A 4000

Hello,

I have a '64 4000 row crop tractor. A friend of mine has a 2000 (regular non row crop) that he took a loader off of. Is there any chance of putting the loader on my 4000? I know I need to go out and get the model number of the loader, but wanted to ask first. Also what should I look for when looking at this loader? I have no experience with loaders, but have owned a 9N and now the 4000 for many years and used them mainly for mowing and grading.

You will have to do alot of modifications to the front mount of the loader. You need to find a 1arm bandit style loader and also pm soundguy he must have 10 of these year model tractor in a configurations he should know what your needing

ditto what whodat said.

if you are using a loader modle that uses the ag front bolster.. especially a pin / hanger style, then you will need significant fabrication.

mind you.. torch and welder work makes lots of stuff fit lots of other stuff.

if it was a 1-arm laoder, all you would need different is a different front hanger bracket, and it can be torched out easilly.

what loader modle is it? it's possible there are factory brackets available for it to mount to a rowcrop... mind you.. these may be hard to find.. however after looking at a diagram in a parts manual, you might be able to fab them up..
