QA CID 96" RollTop Snow Plow

Finally got to use my new CID 96" roll top snow plow last week after a good northeaster. A little over 14" received. I got some video of it in use for those that are interested.

I watched your video , nice . How big of a tractor do you have running that ?

40HP Kioti DK40SE HST. Rear wheels are loaded and front wheels have chains. The chains on the front wheels are there to help prevent side slipping. Weight/Traction are more of a concern then HP with a blade this size. Due to the amount of snow the blade was pushing I had to use low range. Plus I could Not set the FEL to float during the first pass because there was so much snow. The extra weight from the FEL when in float and high snow fall caused the front of the tractor to slide sideway when attempting the first pass. I found the plow still scrape well due to the built-in plow flex from the trip springs, so most of the time I just drop the blade until it hit the ground and then left the FEL locked.
