I was wondering if it would be ok to use a speedco quick hitch with the 60" tiller. They are having tax free days at local Orschlen's and the taxes I'm saving I figured I'd get the speedco QH. I went around the measured my equipment and it seems like most everything will fit just fine. Most of my implements are 3/4" instead of 7/8" but figure I can get bushings to make of the difference.

Does speedco have a web site?

You may need to change the lift pins on the tiller for the QH.
I think you will find the bottom lift hooks on the Speeco hitch are to thick to fit between the tillers lift pins and the tiller frame.

I have the same problem with mine. The hooks on the QH don't have enough room between the lift pins and frame on the tiller. It is about 1/4-3/8" from fitting. I keep saying I will modify but ......

Well I bought both this morning. Like I said they are having a tax free weekend, so I saved about $120.00 in taxes. I got the QH home and will try it out today, but I'm not picking the tiller up till later in the week.. Need to get the trailer to haul it.

If I were going to modify the tiller, what exactly would you suggest?

I had considered various ways to fix the problem.

1. Use a reciprocating saw with metal blade or grinder and trim a little off the lift hooks of the QH. The hooks are thick, overbuilt and trimming off a little shouldn't make a difference. However, I would still have to use my Spee co QH without the bushings on the tiller to make it fit.
2. Weld additional metal to the tiller and move the pins further foward and allow the QH lift hooks to attach.
3. Just take off the quick hitch when need to use the tiller. (this is what I do.)
4. Make KK redesign their tiller so the lift pins are further forward so this is no longer an issue.

Well it's pretty stout.. I got it on the tractor, hooked up the Box Blade and was trying to leave out an area I was digging stumps. Didn't have the BB high enough as I was backing up. Caught a stump and broke the pin off the BB. I'm taking a break.. Took the QA off and I'm gonna hook the BH back to the tractor and see what kind of damage I can do with that.

I done #1 and works fine!!

Congratulations! Now go till! (You are going to make me fix mine)

I machined some eccentric bushings for my KK tiller pins, then slid them on and welded them in place. When indexed properly, the lower pin problem is OK. The speeco qh lower arm hooks ARE still too thick and drag when hooking/unhooking, so I may have to take a bit off them too, like the other guys have done.
My PTO shaft, once the tiller was installed onto the QH, had only 3.5 inches overlap. KK requires 6 inches minimum. I called them and they were of no use at all. Every answer they gave seemed to be encouraging me to take the tiller back to the retailer for a refund.
Eventually I simply added a bolt-on pto extender on the tractor end. The shaft that comes with the tiller has the slip clutch integrated right on there, so you cant simply substitute a slightly longer shaft.
