Quality of excavator buckets

I am looking but not buying at the moment a new excavator bucket. There is a huge difference in cost. In my search I came across one company on ebay and they sell off of ebay. It is called Cleveland equipment. They look good and use AR400 USA steel. I have a local company In Maine called MC Faulkner and sons. They use Hard OX 450 and 500 steel. What makes a good general purpose digging bucket?

I just got a quote from mc faulkner. 3400 for a 24" bucket. 3000 for an 18" bucket. Boy they are steep.

Probably a dozen years ago I spent a grand CDN on a 12" Pin on bucket for my Kubota from H&H. They make the OEM Kubota buckets in Canada.

We have a H&H ditching bucket (36"?) on the Deere backhoe at work. Seems well built and the guys like it from what I understand.

Digging in all that frozen ground. Just kidding. No, more of a curiosity for the future but I may look at an 18" now for stumping.

If your stumping the 2' bucket will work. There's a guy in George Town Ma that has used buckets measure pin size in mm
