Question about 3pt for new BX23?

Just bounght a leftover BX23 yesterday. I am very exited to get it some time next week!!! I don't know much about adding a 3pt so I can use other attachments, like perhaps a post hole digger. I have about 500 feet of post fencing to install an sure could use a digger. Hopeing to just rent one for a couple of days. What type of a 3pt do I need and can I even do this with a BX23? Very glad I found this board. I am a totaly new to the whole tractor thing. Got alot to learn?@%!

Greetings, You might get a better response if this was posted in the Kubota group. I'll answer what I can though... The BX23 should come with the 3-point hitch. This is a cat 1 hitch which might have some limitation because of low ground clearance. I'm not sure what you need to do to convert over because I own a BX2200 that does not have a hoe. As far as the post hole digger it will a depend on the model. I use my brother-in-laws which is over 30 years old and it has adjustments that make it work great for my small tractor. There are manufactures’ that now have an 'estate line' of implements intended for sub compact tractors like the BX.

I have a 23. Your tractor should come with a 3 pt kit.......for lack of a better word. It will contain the mounting hardware and the arms and top link. IF it does not, you have not been given a full package tht comes with the tractor.

Changing from the bh to the 3 pt takes a few minutes, but it is also a great time to clean up the back end of the tractor. Keep plenty of grease on the mounting points for both the 3pt and the bh.

I am sure there are cat 1 3 pt implements that may not work, but I have not found one yet! Yes it is tight, but they work!
