Question About Grass Type Around Barn

I had a barn pad leveled and need to reseed the area. What are good choices? Brome? Fescue? Other? It's in a pasture now but close to the house. I mow regularly. Thanks.

Not sure where you are located but your local Ag extension office should be able to help you with your specific need/growing environment. I volunteer at our county office in Connecticut and we get many turf questions and have lots of info on hand. One point I would make is to make sure you get a high quality seed with the highest percentage of the grass you intend to lay down with the highest germination rate....these should be on the bag. Often local lawn and garden stores do not have quality seed....Gary
