KIOTI DK40SE
I just have to say how much I love my new DK 40SE with shuttle shift ! The closer I looked the more I liked . Such as the oil pan on the engine , which seems to me is made to dissipate heat . All the drain plugs or fill locations are painted orange (easy to find ) . My first cold weather start this morning ( 8degrees ) no problem . My wish list for this tractor would be , arm rest on the seat , and a more convenient cup holder. The one cup holder I have , works good for holding my WD 40 . My one question I have , has to do with the 50 hr service . Between the shop manual and owners manual , I am getting conflicting statements on changing the transmision fluid and filter at 50 hrs , or just the filter . Any thoughts and what have you done personally ? Thanks for your thoughts and comments . Mark

Glad you are happy with the DK40SE. I did both engine and transmission oil & filter at 50 hours on my CK35 HST as called for and think that should apply to the DK40 as well. :)

there are countless 50 hr service threads on the kioti forum. Most people here will tell you to change everything at 50. Once you see whats clinging to the magnets when you do your change, you will probably decide to change all the filters and all the fluids.

I wish mine had an armrest too, for when I am cutting grass. Oh well, that is several months away now.

Good luck to you.

Glad to hear you are liken your DK40SE. I have been real pleased with my

I did all oils and filters at 50hrs.

Hey Thomas . The drink holder is located behind my right shoulder , back of the draft and three point levers . Drink holder in front of me would be better , maybe a magnetic one would work . As far as fluids , sounds like Ill just change them all . Mark

There seems to be a lot of wear particles in first 50 hours hst oil change, well worth doing it. I had lots of shiny particles suspended in oil as well as a lot of crud stuck to magnet.
