Bought a brand new KKII 6' tiller. Did the fluids and grease a week ago. There is a zerk fitting for the rotor bearing on oneside (opposite of the main gear box). How many pumps of grease are you putting in there? I pumped proably 14 to 18 pumps. I never saw any grease come out. I am assuming the bearing is sealed. I didn't pump more because of potetial to blow out a seal. Any advice? By the way...the new tiller works great! And my Kubota 3830 runs it like its not there! Good combo. Covers up my tire tracks pefectly! So far I'm happy! Thanks for all the advice guys! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I did the same thing when I bought my 6' KK tiller last spring. I think there was a thread discussing this topic last spring where someone had actually blown a seal. Too bad they can't give more detailed instructions on this sort of thing. I think you have enough grease in there. Have fun!

Papa,

I don't think the bearing is sealed. The grease will start to come out on the outside, but mine comes out on the inside too. (Then again, maybe MINE is blown?) If memory serves, it took a lot of pumps to fill it up. Ususally you can feel the pressure increase and that's where I stop.
