Kioti NX6010
My NX6010 shipped with two blank knockouts for switches on the right rear fender. I see the new NXs do not have the knockouts in their fenders.

My suspicion is that the kockouts are for some option in another market.

Does anybody know of any options that take advantage of the two knockouts for switches in the right rear fender?

I'm thinking about an external switch for lighting and it would be cool to discover that Kioti has a water-tight switch that fits right into the the fender!

Eric you have to wonder if it was designed for an "inching" forward backward control to aid in 3pt hookup on Hydrostatic equipped models like the John Deere system?

On my open station I just leave the tractor at idle, with bucket flat on the ground (do this on flat ground) and touch one or the other twin pedals with my hand. Just don't tell anyone I do this.:) With this method and the rear 3pt hitch control, you can easily correct any alignment. Of course if you do it right the first time while you are on the seat, you don't need to do this anyway.

Funny you mention that James, when the dealer delivered my tractor, he was showing me how to hook up implements and did exactly the same thing using his hands. I must have had a strange look on my face as he says " oh, I shouldn't have done that - forget you saw me do it". I have of course never used the technique since then...:crossfingers:

Well at idle in low range it moves so slowly, but of course you could run a tire over your foot I suppose if you were an I D 10 T.:) Of course you could drop an implement on your foot too by using the rear 3pt control. But no-one ever said messing with tractors is totally safe. There are a lot of thing you can do to hurt yourself and/or destroy property with tractors.

My impression is that the knockouts are for different markets and I observed the "second round" of NXs on my dealer's lot do not have the knockouts. The NX series will not allow the tractor to move or start up, for that matter, without an operator in the seat due to a seat safety switch. I have mine jumpered with garage bag twist tie (it's what I had on hand) since my seat is out waiting for me to get around to mess with installing stuff and hacking the ECU to make it do what I want it to do. Anyway, in order to make a creeper button forward and back, I'd need to breadboard a circuit to mimic the HST pedal to make the computer think the operator is pushing the pedal when in point of fact the operator is pushing a creeper button.

As fun as that sounds, I'm not touching it for liability reasons.

'Course I say that now before I've tried hooking up to any 3PT implements. :)

Maybe I should look up the part number to a Deer 4066R backup button pad so I can order it in and make it work with the NX series. Order in the PTO button from Massey's MF1700 series as well to have an external PTO (that could be done to the DXs and the NXs).

I'm surprised they put a Seat Switch in. Don't have one on mine.

Yep none here either.. You can stand up and move on all the older models.. Makes it handy to see the tips of your forks.
