I'd definitely go with one piece stall!

Hmmmm

That looks more like a romantic getaway place for you and your tractor...

Is your wife jealous ?

Just put a candle on the table, a glass of beer & a bottle of diesel fuel treatment within range of your tractors FEL(so she can reach it) and .................. OK I'll stop

Really though
VERY NICE place

one more thing
is that carpet on the floor to protect the floor or provide comfort for 'her'

Just put a candle on the table, a glass of beer & a bottle of diesel fuel treatment That is awful. You know she would prefer lube, oil and filters more! Thanks for the chuckle

My wife has never been jealous of me and another woman. But she does make comments about me spending so much time with my tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Like has been advised before, get the shower before you frame in the walls. A three foot one peice shower will not fit through a 3 foot door, barely fits through the rough opening. A one piece is the easiest to install and to keep from leaking, then build your wall to fit the shower. Remember to put in blocking for the valve and the shower head.

When we rough in plumbing for showers or tubs we leave a pipe on the horizontal close to where it goes. We then build a box and put it over the pipe leaving the top of the box flush with finished grade. Fill the box with gravel. After the concrete is poured you empty the box and you have room to swing your trap to fit exactly where it needs to be no matter which shower you get. You can add concrete after you dry fit the shower or just fill back with gravel. They make brass drains with mechanical fittings so you can put the shower in after you glue up your trap. Good luck.

If you're not using the shower often since its a shop, I would recommend this for sewer gas. Its simple compared to a trap primer, especially for a home.

You don't say if the concrete slab is in place or not. If you're pouring concrete, take a couple pieces of rigid insulation about 1' x 1' and tape them together until they are least the depth of the concrete. Then stick them over and down around the pipe. After the pour is done, you pull out the insulation and you have 1 x 1 (or whatever) opening to jimmy your pipe around to exactly where you want it. Then you just mix some bag concrete to patch it in. Sometimes the shower bases require a mortar bed underneath it for support anyway.

If the location isn't critical to with in a couple inches I wouldn't worry.

Why do you want the shower inside? Off my looks-like-a-barn workshop in Baton Rouge, I built a shower outside. Just installed a 5 gallon hot water tank in a corner and ran the pipes outside to the shower head there. Put in a few paving blocks for a floor.

Here in Va, I installed an outside shower and slop sink off the pool deck. The slop sink is off the deck inside the pool equipment area that's underneath our breakfast room off the back of the house. Underneath the slop sink is the Tiny Titan 2.5 gallon hot water tank for it and the shower on the deck around the pool. I use that shower about 7 months out of the year.

Put the old kichen stuff moved from our "nanny's kitchen" down here out to my carriage house. It has an overhead cabinet and combo stove, refrigerator and sink. It's off to the left in the area in front of the stairs that go to the 2nd floor storage. This is where my Gravely is parked. The JD is parked in the basement of the carriage house.
